Bursary Eligibility

We are pleased to offer 5 full bursaries for UK students aged 15-17 (at the time of the summer school)  for our Pre-University Summer School. The scholarships will cover the entire cost of the programme which is fully inclusive and includes accommodation, all meals, tuition and a full social and cultural programme. Students may require a small amount of their own spending money for trips.

If you have selected one of any of the criteria options 1 - 5, we need a teacher from your school to confirm your eligibility. Please ask your teacher to contact us at with confirmation that you meet at least one of the criteria. 

Applicants will be further assessed in two ways: 

You should write an essay on a topic relevant to the course for which you are applying – Introduction to Economics and Finance or A Taste of Social Sciences. Please upload your essay at the end of the application form. The essay should be between 500-1000 words.

You should also complete a personal statement of 500 words in the box below, which addresses why you wish to attend the summer school, your understanding of how a place on the Summer School will benefit you and showing your desire to pursue Higher Education.

The University of Warwick will process your personal data provided in this online application form for the purposes of processing your application and attendance at the Warwick Pre University Summer School 2022 and contacting you with relevant information in relation to the Summer School and any other news and events about the University, if you have ticked the relevant box above.

The legal basis for processing this personal data is that it is necessary for the performance of a contract/legal obligation or consent, which is obtained through your submission of this online form.

We will share your personal data with The Imperial College London to facilitate the time spent in their accommodation, and to any third-party in order to deliver the programme. This may include any external catering arrangements, arrangements for your entry into planned visits, and travel agencies for pick and drop.

In order to process this data, it will be transferred outside the EEA to be held on the server of the software provider for the booking system. Your personal data will be kept securely by the University of Warwick and will be retained for a period of six years after the Warwick Pre University Summer School 2022 has taken place unless you indicated above that you wish to receive information about other news and events about the University.
